Classic Mega Man Relay Race #10
It is time!
This time the format will be a bit different. We will hold qualifiers for each game which will decide who is in the race and in what team! The goal is to have four teams.
Qualifiers will be streamed on the new(-ish) channel twitch.tv/megamanspeedruns
The Relay Race itself will be streamed on twitch.tv/gamesdonequick
Current standings can be found here: tinyurl.com/yxldd4zc
Rules
- A total of 3 races will be held for each game, on different days and at different times to give as many people as possible the chance to participate.
- The results from each race will be combined into a ranking list for each game, with each runners best race time. Top 4 for each game will qualify for the Relay Race.
- Runners are allowed to enter as many qualifiers as they like.
- Runners can qualify for multiple games, but are only allowed to run a maximum of two games in the Relay Race. In the event that someone qualifies for three or more games,
the runner will be asked to pick one or two of the games to run in the Relay Race.
- If a qualified runner has to drop out, the next person in the ranking list will be offered the spot.
- The teams will be decided through a captains/draft -system. More details on this later.
- If there are less than four people qualified for a game, the game will be cut from the Relay Race. However, we might decide to cut one team instead of cutting multiple games.
- Qualifiers will be SRL races which will be up at least 30 minutes before the race starts. The first race will start at the scheduled time and the following will start after the previous one finishes with a small break in between.
The official SRL racebot times will be used for the ranking lists.
- There will be a total of 12 qualifier streams (as shown) where the races will be restreamed with commentary.
- Runners are required to stream their races. There are no strict restrictions on the personal streams, but streaming only game audio is strongly encouraged!
- Main categories. So that means "All stages" for MM1 and "Any% (Difficult)" for MM2, for instance.
- AC versions are not allowed for any games.
- Legacy Collection is not allowed for MM1-6.
- Legacy Collection 2 is allowed for MM9 and 10, but not for 7 and 8.
- Emulators normally accepted on SRL and MMLB are allowed.
- In the event of a softlock, it is allowed to use passwords or safety saves (if supported by the game) to get back to the stage you softlocked on, or any stage before that. However any type of save state (emulator, game saver, powerpak..) is not allowed.
